Adult Workforce Training & Development

Utilizing a holistic, intensive case management approach, FSC’s Work/Life Solutions program assists adults and dislocated workers eligible under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) in achieving long-term economic self-sufficiency through the attainment and retention of stable, worthwhile employment. This is a true example of public and private sector collaboration and investment in our greatest community resource - our people.

We empower individuals to take control of their lives and make a difference in their future by providing them with access to pertinent information, resources and services necessary to make personal, career and employment decisions. Program participants must be willing to take responsibility for their current situation and to commit to making positive changes in the quality of their lives and the lives of their families.

Work/Life Solutions is a joint project of Family Service Center of South Carolina, United Way of the Midlands, the Midlands Workforce Development Board, and the South Carolina Employment Security Commission.
