This event runs from June 18, 2010 - June 20, 2010. Each summer Children Unlimited sponsors a weekend retreat for children, ages 8-12, who have been adopted. The retreat is held on Lake Marion at the scenic Camp Bob Cooper in Summerton, SC. Kids will be learning teamwork while on the challenge course & climbing wall, having fun splashing in the lake and jumping on The Blob (you have to see it to believe it… but it is so much fun!), and of course playing games and making crafts! Each retreat focuses on adoption issues such as communication, loss, trust, and attachment. This is a wonderful opportunity for kids to meet other children who share their life experiences and understand the meaning of being adopted… many will develop life-long friendships!
