This event runs from July 16, 2010 - July 18, 2010. Each summer Children Unlimited sponsors a weekend retreat for teens, ages 13-17, who have been adopted. The retreat is held on Lake Marion at the scenic Camp Bob Cooper in Summerton, SC. Teens will be busy challenging themselves on a high ropes course and climbing wall, having fun splashing in the lake and jumping on The Blob (you have to see it to believe it but it is so much fun!), and of course playing games and making crafts! Each retreat focuses on adoption issues such as communication, loss, trust, and attachment. This is a wonderful opportunity for teens to meet others who share their life experiences and understand the meaning of being adopted...many will develop life-long friendships!
